The lift is really bad, without sensor and close very fast. No kids pool

The best thing about this hotel is the location. We also loved the view from our room, the hotel staff was exceptional, we had everything we needed for the most wonderful stay.

The breakfast quality and variety could be better. The hot foods were not temperature hot enough.

Location was good, close to eatery and not too congested with traffic. Shopping was convenient.

Find it too dark specifically at the lift area. Billing us 3K for deposit when my stay cost lesser than the amount without telling us in advance. I would have paid the full amount then if informed. Didn’t like the overcharged & refund part.

Service was great. Check in was smooth. We booked the Executive Premier room with a bathtub. We get to use the executive lounge for with free coffee/tea. We enjoyed the complimentary free-flow cocktail with a wide spread of snacks/cheese/pastries from 6pm-8pm, at Gravity, the rooftop bar. The view was indeed great. We didn’t quite like the design of the room though. But the bed was very comfortable and it was larger than a king size bed. They give lots of mineral water bottles too. There’s Netflix on TV too. Location was good. Just next to Gurney Plaza. Breakfast spread was great. Not very tasty but still acceptable.

We weren’t very happy with the buggy service. We wanted to take the buggy from G Hotel Gurney back to G Hotel Kelawai. We informed the reception on 3rd floor to get the buggy to pick us up from Kanada Ramen shop entrance. We waited for 10 mins then I called the hotel again. We were desperate to go back as my 5 month old baby kept crying and it was drizzling. Then waited for another 10 mins again but no buggy came. I saw the buggy picked some customers from the Tree Bar and left. We were furious as we were told to wait at Kanada entrance and not only the buggy didn’t make a stop here, but he picked others instead. I called the hotel again and I was told to walk to Tree Bar to wait for buggy again. But it was raining, how are we going to walk with our 5 months old baby in the rain? We were so upset and almost wanted to cancel our second night stay. Another unpleasant thing was the bathtub. We couldn’t drain the water. They got someone to fix it quite quickly. But the problem was only temporarily fixed. The next day when we used it, the drain and overflow plate were broken again. What’s the whole point staying booking a room with a bathtub but it couldn’t be used? We were very unhappy overall with these two incidents. We will not book here again next time.

Location is good. Walking distance to gurney plaza and gurney paragon.

Executive King is spacious with a nice open view. Afternoon cocktail at the top floor is nice. Great swimming pool and gym. Breakfast at the Spoon is nice. Very friendly staff everywhere. Location is unbeatable as it's 2 min walk from two NICE shopping malls (Gurney Plaza, Gurney Paragon) which offer ample dinning options and even cinema, spa and supermarkets. 5-10 min cheap grab drive will take you to the heritage part of George Town.

The towels - many of them had obvious stains on it and almost grey in color. Quite a shock to me. I would recommend bringing your own. All the bathrobes were very old with torn bits here and there........ House keeping left dirty cloths in the room one time and forgot to replenish fresh towel on another.

Comparatively overpriced against other 5 star hotels in penang. Definitely should’ve added complimentary breakfast to make it even.

Efficiency and friendliness of the check-in and check-out process. I received WhatsApp message for my room once it is ready. Overall, very clean of the room, including the bathroom, bed linens, and floors. I have a restful night with the tip top comfy of the room. Received welcome drinks and snacks in the mini fridge. NETFLIX to watch. Is so close to the Gurney Plaza and Gurney paragon Mall within walking distance. Breakfast served was superb.

1. The hotel lighting is drab. 2. Please educate your staff regarding lounge. It was an unpleasant experience. I’m thinking twice before booking again with G hotel.

Love the location right next to major shopping centres, so food was very convenient. Also, it is close to a lot of other restaurants around the area. Rooms were comfortable, and the staff were polite and helpful

Carpets in both the rooms could do with a bit of upkeep and clean. Other than that it was all good
